A History Of BMW M3 series

The first BMW M3 appeared in 1985. There are currently 4 generations of these vehicles. Power ranges from 195 hp in the oldest E30 to 431 hp in the M3 F80. Production was completed in September 2013. BMW announced that the M3 name in the next generation will only refer to the sedan version, the coupé version was given the name M4.                           
The BMW M3 E30 is a sport version of BMW E30. It was produced in two variants: the coupé and the cabriolet. Its unit is a 2.3-liter and 2.5-liter S14 engine with a power range of 195 to 238 horsepower. It has a five-speed manual gearbox. Also produced limited editions: M3 Evolution, M3 Evolution II, M3 Sport Evolution, M3 Europameister, M3 Roberto Ravaglia, M3 Johnny Cecotto and M3 Tour de Corse. It is one of the most successful sports cars. This car was produced for the European, Japanese and American markets.
The BMW M3 E36 is a sport version of BMW E36.
It was produced in four variants: coupé, cabriolet, sedan and compact. Its power unit is a 3.0-liter S4 3.0-liter engine with a power output of 286 to 321 horsepower. The American version has a S52 engine. Its power unit is a 3.0-liter and 3.2-liter S50 engine with a power output of 286 to 321 horsepower. The American version has a S52 engine. This car has five or six-speed manual gearbox. The E36 was produced for European, American and South African markets. The US M3 market was offered with engines other than the European market. The American version produced 240 horsepower at capacities of 3.0 and 3.2 liters. On the other hand, the European version has stronger engines. Engine 3.0 produces 286 horsepower and 3.2 321 horsepower. American versions of the M3 were based on the M50 and M52 engine.
The BMW M3 E46 is a sport version of BMW E46.
Its engine is a 3.2 liter S54 engine with a capacity of 3.2 liters and developing a power of 343 horsepower (E46) and 360 horsepower (M3 E46 CSl). This car  was produced for European and American markets.
The BMW M3 E92 is another sports car. This model was produced since 2007.
The last copy of M3 left the factory in July 2013. At the same time, the German company decided that there would be no next generation M3 coupé and convertible. These versions have been replaced by BMW M4 coupé and M4 convertible. Its engine is a four-liter V8 engine of the S65B40 type that powers 420 horsepower.
     The BMW M3 F80 is the last sport version of BMW 3 series. Under the bonnet was a row, gasoline, six-cylinder engine. A 3.0-liter unit uses Twin Turbo Turbo technology. The engine has 431 hp.
